Walk Description
A fantastic walk and a wonderful place to visit. You really only get to appreciate Blea Tarn’s beauty when you amble around it. A great spot to picnic, for the kids to play or just to simply escape and chill. A snaking 20 minute climb early in the walk gets the hardest part out of the way permitting a gentle stroll to take in some fantastic scenery. It is worth taking time to break the climb and enjoy the breathtaking views all around, Crinkle Crags, Bowfell and the Langdale Pikes. The route starts and ends at the car park by the Old Dungeon Gyhll Hotel, where the hikers bar has, on many occasions, provided an excellent end to a walk.
