Walk Description
The circuit of Buttermere is an absolute delight, following a gentle lakeside path walk with stunning scenery. The surrounding fells providing a magnificent backdrop to simply make this a wonderful place to be and time well spent! The path is easy to follow, the kids can run on ahead and explore and there’s opportunity to picnic or take time out all around the lake. The walk is suitable for pushchairs, although the latter stages of the return leg are best completed along the roadside. On returning to Buttermere, refreshment is amply available in the pubs, cafes and an ice cream parlour.
