Walk Description
A short, enjoyable circular wander around Wath (pronounced Woth) taking in Goulthwaite reservoir and the Nidderdale Way. The walk initially alongside the River Nidd, crosses fields, then climbs gradually to provide fantastic views across the valley. The kids will enjoy watching the many rabbits and are also free to explore in safety, although close supervision is required along the last few hundred metres along the lane. The walk passes the ‘Sportsmans Arms’, however, our preference was to end our visit a mile down the road at ‘The Bridge Inn’ which caters more for families. Afterwards we stopped off in Pateley Bridge, a delightful village with plenty to see and do for all ages.
