Walk Description
A wonderful family day out, Hawes on its own is a great place to visit. Plenty to interest all the family, including The Wensleydale Creamery, The Dales Countryside Museum, the Ropemaker and childrens play park which also provided a great picnic opportunity. The walk added to the day’s enjoyment by taking in some gorgeous scenery, a magnificent waterfall with a 96 feet drop, a super pub and great place to relax beside a river. The walk is not very long in distance and the gentle climbs are soon tackled so allowing enjoyment of the views from an early stage – during our walk of 3.5 hours we spent half the time taking in the scenery. After the walk, Hawes also delivers plenty of refreshment opportunity.
