Walk Description
An easy going cycle ride (or walk) that’s great for kids along the Calder Valley Greenway. Our youngsters often completed the entire return trip, although we also enjoyed shorter excursions permitted by various entry / exit points.
The route is broadly flat and the entire Calder Valley Greenway section has a tarmac surface so great for cyclists of all abilities. The surrounding countryside gives a pleasing backdrop to the journey and the various pubs en route provide welcome refreshment and, for some trips, a natural turn around point.
We have enjoyed cycling and walking along this route for many years, the work that the authorities have undertaken has made it even better!
Please cycle responsibly to ensure the continued enjoyment of all users.
