Walk Description
A gentle, cliff top walk with amazing views. The route follows a section of the Cleveland Way on the fantastic North Yorkshire coastline. The walk is circular and the return route travels along the former Whitby to Scarborough railway. During the walk it is worth taking a short detour to explore the bay of Hayburn Wyke. The beach is rocky but well worth a visit, particularly for the kids. There is a short uphill section but nothing arduous and you are soon rewarded with a pub near the half-way point providing welcome refreshment. The home stretch also offers a pleasant there and back route for pushchairs. After the walk another nearby pub offers further refreshment opportunity.
