Walk Description
An enjoyable circular walk and a great place to ‘blow the cobwebs away’. The route takes in The Bronte Way providing wonderful views over Leeming reservoir, Oxenhope village and the surrounding valley and moorland. A short climb at the start permits much of the walk to be downhill although there is a moderate climb up the road to the rewards of the Dog & Gun at the end. The moorland section can be windy so we each wore an extra fleece!
Cautionary note - care is required on the road climb at the end as the road is without a footpath and motorists often travel at unreasonable speed. In winter months make sure you set off early enough to avoid being on the lane in darkness.
