Walk Description
Fantastic views for very little time and effort! The kids, being young, could not face the climb or distance of the longer, traditional route from Keswick so we removed the distance and most of the climb. At the top, it was great to take some time to take in the superb views all around including Keswick, Derwentwater, Cat Bells, Bassenthwaite Lake, Skiddaw, Blentcathra and the Pennines. Do take an extra layer of clothing, the wind can be chilly up top. We followed up the walk with lunch in Keswick and then visited the newly opened James Bond museum – great for kids of all ages!
