Walk Description
A really pleasant walk around a lovely lake on broad well made lakeside and woodland paths. The walk can be easily varied in length and there are plenty of picnic opportunities on the route. The kids can roam freely in the woods or beside the shoreline and whilst most are on foot, some do cycle. This is also a good walk for when the weather is wet as the woodland paths are sheltered. There is an abundance of wildlife which provides added interest. In particular, the grace of a heron, to be observed from numerous lakeside benches. After our walk we were spoilt for choice for refreshment with pubs, restaurants and ice cream vendors situated at both ends the dam head.
