Walk Description
Linton is a delightful Dales village, the village green, the beck and old pack-horse bridge make for a wonderful setting. All our kids have enjoyed many afternoons feeding the ducks and inevitably getting their wellies full of water! The walk takes in Linton Falls, Linton Church, a visit to Grassington and several riverside strolls, there are some short climbs but nothing arduous. The route is also easily varied to suit individual circumstances. One of the river crossings involves stepping stones which is exciting for the kids but be mindful of river levels after rainfall. If you prefer to retrace your steps this does not spoil the walk. Then afterwards retire to the Fountaine Inn, great beer and great food – our kids always empty the plate!
